Leinster's Caelan Doris to make Ireland debut against Scotland

Leinster number eight Caelan Doris is set to make his Ireland debut after he was named in the starting line-up for the Six Nations tournament opener against Scotland.

Doris made his Leinster debut ahead of the 2018/19 season and also featured for Ireland Under 20 side captaining them in the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Championship. Johnny Sexton has recovered from his injury to captain the side and is slotted at fly-half with Conor Murray at scrum-half.

CJ Stander and Josh van der Flier are named at flankers with debutant Doris slotted at number eight with Tadhg Furlong, Rob Herring and Cian Healy in front row and Iain Henderson along with James Ryan in second row.

Jacob Stockdale and Andrew Conway are at wings while Garry Ringrose and Bundee Aki form centre partnership with Jordan Larmour at fullback.

Robbie Henshaw will provide cover from the bench along with Dave Kilcoyne and Peter O'Mahony while uncapped Ronan Kelleher are also among the replacements.
