Jaguares missed out on the conversion in the closing stage as Kings managed to edge them out with a 30-31 win in their Super Rugby clash at Estadio Jose Amalfitani on Saturday.

Juan Manuel Leguizamon's touchdown were the only points in the game in the first quarter as Jaguares had a 5-0 lead. However, Kings bounced back with back to back tries from Lionel Cronje and Makazole Mapimpi and by the end of the 30th minute, the visitors had a 8-13 lead.

Emiliano Boffelli crossed over in the 31st minute and was soon followed by a converted try from Nicholas Sanchez and at half time Jaguares had a 20-14 lead.

Tuculet extended Jaguares' advantage in the second half with his first of the two tries that came in the 41st minute to raise the lead to 11 points.

Tries from Mapimpi and Wandie Mjekevu and Cronje's double conversion and penalty helped Kings bounce back as they were six point clear but they were put under stern test when Tuculet strolled past the post for the second time in the 73rd minute to bring down the gap to one put but they failed to add the conversion, thereby succumbing to a one point defeat.

Despite the win, Kings are positioned last in the Africa 2 Conference while Jaguares are at third.
