Sharks seal 25-33 win over Jaguares

Sharks came up with a clinical performance as they overcame a stern resistance from Jaguares with a 25-33 victory in their Super Rugby encounter at Estadio Jose Amalfitani on Saturday.

After Phillip Van Der Walt got Sharks off the mark with a second minute try, Nicolas Sanchez and Curwin Bosch exchanged couple of penalties. Joaquin Tuculet and Matias Orlando gave further advantage to Jaguares with their touchdowns but Sharks replied back with a cross over from Etienne Oosthuizen as the scores were levelled 20-20 at half time.

Thomas du Toit rumbled past the post in the 51st minute to give Sharks a slender advantage but Kings remained in the game following a try from Bautista Ezcurra.

As the game was heading for a tight finish, Bosch added two penalties including one in the final minute to seal an eight point victory for Sharks.

Sharks and Jaguares continue to remain at the second and third positions in Africa 2 Conference.
