Bath Rugby have confirmed that lock Josh McNally will be leaving the Gallagher Premiership club at the end of the 2023/24 season.

McNally was part of RAF Brize Norton before joining Henley Hawks in 2012. He moved to London Welsh in 2014 before making a switch to London Irish in 2017.

The 33-year-old joined Bath in the summer of 2019 and has played 84 appearances for the club since then. However, his appearances with the club was limited to eight games this season.

“It’s time to say goodbye and thank you," he told the club's official website.

“It’s been a true honour to have had the opportunity to wear the Blue, Black and White, to represent everyone who works for this club, and to represent this great city.

“Bath will always hold a special place in our hearts. A place where myself, Sarah, Toby and Alice have made friends and memories to last a lifetime."

Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan thanked McNally for his contribution to the club.

“Josh added so much to Bath Rugby on and off the field. He is a very good rugby player, a consistent and dependable leader but most importantly, a great team man.

"He leaves Bath Rugby in a better place, and I wish him and his family the very best. Josh will make a success in whatever he chooses to do in life!
