Johannes Jonker, Juan Schoeman, Keiran Verden, and Max Wright to leave Bath

Bath Rugby have announced that Johannes Jonker, Juan Schoeman, Keiran Verden, and Max Wright will be leaving the Gallagher Premiership club at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Jonker joined Bath in 2021 from Ealing Trailfinders and made is debut for the club in the 2021/22 Premiership season against Sale Sharks. He has overall played 27 times for the club.

Verden captained Bath Academy throughout the 2016/17 season and made his first-team debut against Worcester Warriors. He now leaves the club after eight seasons.

Born in Pretoria, Schoeman started his career with Bulls and went on to play for Sharks and Southern Kings before joining Bath in 2020. He has overall made 62 appearances for the club.

Meanwhile, Wright joined the club in October 2017 having graduated from the Yorkshire Carnegie setup before going on to make his league debut against Northampton Saints.

“All four of these gentlemen have very unique personalities and will be missed around the group," said Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan.

"They were very good team men, and we wish them all the very best in the next steps of their journey.”

Bath finished the league stage of the Premiership at second place with 11 wins from 18 matches. They will be taking on Sale Sharks in the semi-final on 1st June at The Recreation Ground.
