Ulster Rugby has announced that Jacob Stockdale has signed a new two-year contract, keeping him at the Kingspan Stadium until the end of the 2026 season.

Stockdale, who made his Ulster debut in 2015, has become one of the most recognizable names in Irish rugby. Over the course of his career, the 28-year-old has amassed more than 100 appearances for the province, scoring an impressive 45 tries.

The winger’s international career has been equally stellar. Stockdale debuted for Ireland in 2017 and has since earned 36 caps, becoming a standout player during Ireland’s 2018 Six Nations Grand Slam campaign, where he set a tournament record by scoring seven tries.

Speaking about his decision to extend his stay with Ulster, Stockdale expressed his commitment to the team and its ambitions.

“Ulster has always been my home, and I’m thrilled to continue my journey here. The club has given me so much, and I’m eager to contribute to its future success,” he said.

Ulster’s head coach, Dan McFarland, highlighted Stockdale’s impact on and off the field:

“Jacob is not just a phenomenal talent but also a leader within our squad. His ability to change games and his experience at the highest level make him an invaluable part of our team.”

Stockdale’s contract extension is a significant boost for Ulster as they continue their campaigns in the United Rugby Championship and European competitions.
