Leinster have confirmed that Ireland international fly-half Ross Byrne will be unavailable until the new year following an injury setback.
The 28-year-old sustained an arm injury during the United Rugby Championship game against Munster at Aviva Stadium two weeks ago which they went on to win 21-16.
A statement issued by Leinster confirmed that the 28-year-old underwent a surgery and is set to be sidelined for the remainder of the year.
"Ross Byrne had a procedure on an arm injury last week and will be unavailable until the new year," read a statement from the club.
Meanwhile, the province also revealed that Jamie Osborne, who picked a shoulder injury during the encounter against Connacht is set to undergo an operation.
"Jamie Osborne picked up a shoulder injury in the BKT United Rugby Championship win over Connacht and is having a procedure this week and will be unavailable for selection as a result," the statement added.
Leinster currently are at the top of the United Rugby Championship table with six wins from seven matches.
