Northampton Saints hooker Henry Walker has signed a new contract to remain with the club beyond the current campaign after establishing himself quickly in the squad following his move from Ealing Trailfinders.
Walker Signs New Northampton Saints Contract
Walker joined Saints in December 2024 and made an immediate impact after starting on debut against Newcastle in a 61-0 win.
The hooker has since become a regular part of Northampton’s rotation, featuring across PREM, PREM Rugby Cup and Investec Champions Cup fixtures.
Henry Walker Career Path To Franklin’s Gardens
A product of Gloucester’s academy, Walker made 72 competitive appearances during an eight-year spell with the Cherry and Whites after first breaking into senior rugby in 2015.
He then moved to Ealing Trailfinders for the 2024/25 season before returning to the PREM with Northampton later that year.
He has also represented England at several age-grade levels, including Under-20 level, and built a reputation as a dependable option at hooker with strong set-piece foundations.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far, so when the opportunity to stay came up it was a very easy decision,” said Walker.
“There’s a great group of lads at the Club and a really strong coaching group as well, which made it straightforward for me.
“The squad as a whole is very ambitious. We want to be challenging for finals this season, and that takes a full squad effort.
“This season has been really enjoyable so far. Playing in big games is what every player wants, and hopefully I can keep doing that here with Saints.”
