Leicester Tigers have announced that head coach Dan McKellar will be leaving the club with immediate effect.
The decision follows after the club endured a tough outing in the 2023/24 season where they finished eighth with nine wins from 18 matches.
The 47-year-old joined Leicester in 2023 following the departure of Steve Borthwick. McKellar left his role as forwards coach of the Wallabies to take the role at the Tigers and has overseen them in 30 matches.
McKellar also had worked with Souths, Tuggeranong Vikings, NTT DoCoMo Red Hurricanes, Brumbies and Canberra Vikings in the past.
"The club has commenced the process for finding a new Head Coach to lead the men’s programme into the 24/25 season. Pre-season training for the men’s players not on international duty commences on July 1 at Oval Park," read the club statement.
"We thank Dan for his contribution to Leicester Tigers and wish him, Carla, Amelie and Maya well for the future."
