Dragons RFC have officially confirmed the departure of centre Harry Wilson following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.

The 24-year-old Australian returns to his homeland after a single season in Wales, during which he made 12 appearances and scored one try.

Wilson’s exit comes by mutual consent as part of the club’s ongoing squad reshaping. His time at Rodney Parade has been marked by commitment, energy, and a strong presence in the dressing room, despite a relatively short stint.

Head Coach Filo Tiatia paid tribute to Wilson’s contribution on and off the pitch.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with Harry this season. He’s been a great character in our group, a well-liked and popular player, who has worked hard throughout his time with us.”

“He’s a young man who has come out of Super Rugby and embraced the challenge in a new country with us and been a pleasure to work with.”

“We now wish him every success for the future and look forward to seeing how his career progresses. Harry and his family will always be warmly welcomed back at Rodney Parade in the future.”

Wilson also expressed heartfelt thanks to the club and his teammates.

“A massive thank you to all the staff for your support this season. I appreciate the time and effort you all put into me.”

“To the players, this is a special group, and I am definitely going to miss turning up to training each day with you all. I’ve made mates for life and that’s what I’ll always remember about my time here with Dragons.”

“I wish the club and everyone individually all the success in the future.”
