Dragons RFC have confirmed the signing of Tongan international Fine Inisi ahead of the 2025–26 season.

The 26-year-old joins the Welsh club from Moana Pasifika, bringing with him an exciting blend of international experience and attacking flair.

Known for his agility and powerful running style, Inisi has become a standout performer in Super Rugby Pacific.

Standing at 6ft 2in and weighing 95kg, he has scored 11 tries for Moana Pasifika since his debut in 2022 and represented Tonga in 15 test matches, including a strong showing at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

The move reunites Inisi with Dragons Head Coach Filo Tiatia, who worked closely with him during their time at Moana Pasifika.

Tiatia praised Inisi’s professionalism and physicality, expressing confidence that the winger would transition seamlessly into the United Rugby Championship and bring significant value to the squad.

“I am very excited to work with Fine again having done so previously,” said Tiatia.

“He brings good values as well as an attacking threat with his footwork and ball-carrying ability. I look forward to Fine taking his form from Super Rugby Pacific to Rodney Parade next season.”

Inisi shared his enthusiasm about joining Dragons and experiencing a new rugby environment in Wales.

“I’m grateful and excited for the opportunity to play in the northern hemisphere for a great club. It’s going to be a challenge, but I’m keen to put my best foot forward in helping the Dragons achieve greatness.

"Adjusting to new traditions in Wales will be different for me and my little family, but we are excited to fully immerse ourselves in the culture.”

Backs Coach Matt O’Brien also welcomed the signing, describing Inisi as a “good athlete” with exceptional one-on-one skills and finishing ability. “He brings speed, firepower, and depth to our backline and gives us more competition on the wing.”
