Harlequins have confirmed that centre Lennox Anyanwu has signed a contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club.

A product of Harlequins Academy, the 22-year-old made his club debut in December 2020 and has made 13 appearances for the club since then.

He also had represented England at U16, U17 and U18 levels while being part of Championship side Richmond on loan basis.

“I’m excited to sign a new deal with the Club and am looking forward to seeing what the future holds," he told the club's official website.

“Harlequins is the club that gave me my opportunity and got me to where I am today and hopefully will help me progress to where I want to go in my career.

“It’s an exciting time to be a Harlequin and I’m looking forward to seeing what this squad can do this season and beyond.”

Meanwhile, Harlequins coach Tabai Matson shared his excitement in Anyanwu extending his stay at the club.

“We’re really excited that Lennox has signed a new contract with the Club.

“Since joining the senior squad, he’s worked hard on his game on both sides of the ball and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team moving forward.

“We take great pride in our Academy graduates and Lennox is a fantastic example of the talent that the pathway has to offer.”

Harlequins are at sixth place in the Gallagher Premiership table with six wins from 13 matches.
