Harlequins have confirmed the signing of four short-term loan players to strengthen their squad ahead of upcoming PREM Rugby Cup fixtures.
The club has brought in props Luke Yendle and Ben Murphy, second-row forward Barny Langton-Cryer, and back-rower Oisín McCormack to provide cover during a busy period with several senior players unavailable due to international commitments.
Yendle and Langton-Cryer arrive from Dragons RFC. Yendle, a tighthead prop, has made 22 senior appearances for the Welsh region since his debut in 2020. Langton-Cryer has featured 16 times at senior level and adds depth to the second row.
McCormack joins from Connacht. The 24-year-old back-row forward has made three senior appearances and recently scored off the bench in a United Rugby Championship match against Zebre Parma.
Murphy completes the quartet after arriving from Cardiff RFC. The loosehead prop previously developed at Worcester Warriors and captained Cardiff Met University in BUCS Super Rugby.
Senior coach Jason Gilmore said the additions ensure Harlequins maintain squad depth and competitiveness during the PREM Cup period.
“With a large number of our squad away with their respective national teams and while we manage the return to play schedule of a several senior players, it’s important we have depth throughout our squad for the upcoming PREM Cup block," he told the club's official website.
“The players we have coming in have a great opportunity to contribute to our environment and gain exposure to different competitions and opposition.
"They’re excited to get stuck in and we’re looking forward to seeing how they contribute to the Quins jersey over the next few weeks.”
