Handre Pollard is set to return to the Vodacom Bulls after signing a two-year contract that will see him rejoin the Pretoria-based club from July 1, 2025.
The Springbok fly-half, who previously spent six years at the Bulls, brings back a wealth of experience after successful stints in European rugby.
Pollard, a double Rugby World Cup winner, initially made his mark at the Bulls between 2013 and 2019, amassing 62 appearances and 629 points before moving abroad.
Since then, he has played for Montpellier and Leicester Tigers, excelling in club competitions while solidifying his reputation as one of the world’s premier playmakers.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Pollard stated: “I am really grateful for this opportunity. It’s something I don’t take for granted.
"Being able to come home after a great few years overseas, I’m beyond excited.”
He reflected on his previous time with the Bulls, adding: “I started my career at the Vodacom Bulls, and those six years played a massive role in the person and player I am today.
"This team and franchise have always had a special place in my heart, and I can’t see myself anywhere else in South Africa.”
The Bulls' management is thrilled about the return of one of their most decorated former players.
They highlighted that Pollard left the club as a 24-year-old rising star and returns as a seasoned international veteran with over 80 Springbok caps and extensive European club rugby experience.
