Bath on Tuesday confirmed that South Africa international Francois Louw will miss the action for the rest of the year after he sustained a hamstring injury.

The former Stormers flanker suffered the blow during the recent Rugby Championship encounter between South Africa and New Zealand in Durban and was substituted in the 11th minute of the game.

Communications manager of Bath confirmed that the 31-year-old is expected to remain on the sidelines for at least 10 weeks.

"Francois suffered a hamstring injury which will keep him out for about ten weeks," she told Sport24.com, ruling Louw out until next year.

Springboks will kick-off their November Tests with a clash against the Barbarians at Wembley Stadium in London on 5th November followed by Tests against England, Italy and Wales.
