Gloucester Rugby have confirmed that hooker Matt Moulds has joined the club on a short-term contract.

Moulds started his career with provincial side Northland in 2013 and went on to make his debut in Super Rugby for Auckland Blues in 2015.

The 30-year-old made a switch to Worcester Warriors ahead of the 2019/20 season and now will link up with the Cherry and Whites to strengthen their front row.

“Matt is an experienced hooker and comes in to strengthen our front row on a short-term basis," said the club's COO Alex Brown to the club's official website.

“A former captain at Worcester, he is a proven leader and having played rugby across the globe, he will be a valuable member of our squad and we look forward to welcoming him to Kingsholm.”

Gloucester currently are at 11th place in the Gallagher Premiership table after losing both their opening games and will face Worcester Warriors next on 2nd October at Sixways Stadium on 2nd October.
