Glasgow Warriors have announced that scrum-half Sean Kennedy has signed a contract extension with the club.

A product of Alloa RFC, started his professional rugby career with Edinburgh in 2011 and had loan stints with London Irish and Glasgow Warriors before joining the Scotstoun Stadium based club on a permanent basis in 2019.

Till date he has gone on to make 19 appearances for the club and is part of the squad that will take on DHL Stormers and Vodacom Bulls in the South Africa leg of the United Rugby Championship. He also had represented Scotland 7s side in the past.

“I'm happy to be staying with the club,” Kennedy told glasgowwarriors.org.

“I enjoy coming to work everyday - it's a great club with great people.

“There's a strong group of scrum-halves at the club and it's great to compete against them every week for the jersey. Despite being a more senior player, I learn new things every day and I have a great time doing it.

The club feels like we're building towards something and I’m looking forward to continuing to be a part of it.”

Glasgow are positioned third in the United Rugby Championship table with 10 wins from 15 games.
