Matthieu Jalibert and Romain Taofifenua have been withdrawn from France squad for the upcoming Autumn Nations Series after suffering injuries, the French Rugby Federation has confirmed.
Jalibert, the fly-half for Bordeaux-Bègles, sustained a thigh injury during his club’s Top 14 outing.
He has been removed from the squad and replaced by young fly-half Ugo Seunes. Taofifenua, a veteran second-row with Racing 92, has also been ruled out and his spot taken by Baptiste Pesenti of Stade Français.
France’s autumn campaign opens with a Test against the Springboks at the Stade de France on 8th November. They will also face Fiji and Australia on 15th and 22nd November respectively.
