Leicester Tigers forwards coach Mark Bakewell is set to make his exit from the Gallagher Premiership club according to reports.
Bakewell headed to Welford Road in 2018 from Bristol Bears but the club has been enduring tough times especially in the Premiership as they finished 11th in the previous year and are also at 11th in the ongoing season with a solitary win from five games with only Saracens, who have been docked 35 points for salary cap breach behind them.
England's forward coach Steve Borthwick has been linked with Leicester but the 40-year-old is unlikely to head towards Welford Road before the conclusion of Six Nations tournament.
Assistant coach Brett Deacon is likely to step up from his role as an assistant coach to replace Bakewell on an interim basis.
Earlier, head coach Geordan Murphy declined to comment on any news related to the coaching staff.
"We have been linked with numerous coaches across the world and it is something that is probably unfair to go into," Murphy said.
Leicester Tigers, who have a 22-point lead over bottom placed Saracens will face Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership next on 21st December at Welford Road.
