The fixture between England A and Scotland A to be plated at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Sunday has been called off due to positive Covid-19 cases in the Scotland camp.

Earlier, nine players from the Scotland squad were placed under self isolation after a positive case but the squad travelled to Leicester on Friday afternoon after the test conducted on Thursday returned no further positive cases.

Nevertheless, the latest round of testing conducted on Saturday morning returned three members of the camp positive for Covid-19 and as a result the contract tracing has been carried out as per the Scottish Government guidelines.

"We are of course very disappointed," England head coach Eddie Jones said.

"However, we understand that the safety and wellbeing of all of our teams and supporters is the most important thing and we wish Scotland the very best."

The England squad will now continue to train at Mattioli Woods Welford Road on Sunday before heading to Pennyhill Park on Monday as they prepare for the games against USA and Canada on 4th and 10th July respectively at Twickenham Stadium.
