Saracens have confirmed the signing of England international George Martin ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The powerful lock will join from Leicester Tigers and is expected to bring both physical presence and depth to the North London club’s forward pack.
Martin began his rugby journey at Brooksby Melton College before moving into the Leicester Tigers Academy. He made his senior debut in 2019 and quickly progressed through the ranks, earning his first England cap in 2021.
His consistency saw him selected for the England squad at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Domestically, Martin was part of the Leicester Tigers squad that won the Premiership title in 2022. Injuries limited parts of his 2024/25 campaign, but he has already collected more than 20 England caps by the age of 24, underlining his importance at the top level.
Saracens’ Director of Rugby Mark McCall said the club is delighted to welcome a young forward with such potential and drive.
“George is a highly driven young player who we are delighted to welcome to the club," said McCall to the club's official website.
"His attributes and character will complement and add value to the group and we are looking forward to him realising his potential in the years ahead.”
Martin said he is looking forward to the next stage of his rugby career and is excited by the opportunity of joining Saracens next season.
“I am looking forward to the next chapter of my rugby journey.” added Martin.
