England international will remain with Northampton Saints at least until 2022 after signing a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

The New Zealand born flanker made his professional rugby debut with the Franklin Garden's outfit in 2012 after he was recommended by skipper Dylan Hartley and has racked up 120 appearances for the Saints since then.

The turnaround came for the 26-year-old in the 2015/16 season when he won the club's Breakthrough Player, Supporters’ Player and Players’ Player of the Season awards along with Premiership Player of the Month award.

His success with the club saw him call up to the England squad with his Test debut coming in 2016 and has featured in five Tests - all of it coming in that year.

Harrison expressed his delight on committing his immediate future to the club.

“I’m over the moon to sign on again with Saints and excited about the progress we’ve made this first season under Chris Boyd,” Harrison said.

“Northampton is so important to me, as this is the Club that gave me my chance; I just want to repay the faith they put in me.

“The supporters here are the most dedicated in the Premiership and I’m excited to try and win more silverware for them. We have a brilliant playing environment in Northampton and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the future holds for us.”

Northampton Saints are at ninth position in the Gallagher Premiership table with five wins from 12 games while they are at second place in Pool 1 table of Challenge Cup after winning three out of the five matches.
