Dragons have confirmed that back-row Nic Cudd has penned a new deal with the Pro14 club.

Cudd made his professional rugby debut with Scarlets in 2010 and moved to Dragons in 2012 making 130 appearances for the club since then. The 30-year-old also has represented Wales Under 16, Under 18, Under 19 and Under 20 levels.

“We’re all thrilled that Cuddy is staying with us," said Dragons forward head coach Ceri Jones to the official website of the club.

“He’s a player who comes off the field with battle wounds every weekend, is ultra-competitive in everything he does and wears his heart on his sleeve.

“Cuddy has become a core part of the group and really is the complete professional, week in and week out.

“He continues to work extremely hard on his rehab and we’re all looking forward to welcoming him back in the coming months.”

The club has also confirmed that prop Nicky Thomas will make an exit from the region with immediate effect after making eight appearances spread across two seasons.
