Scarlets have announced the signing of Ospreys second row Lloyd Ashley on a short-term loan contract.
Ashley will head to the club ahead of the upcoming United Rugby Championship clash against Munster to be played on 10th October.
The 30-year-old has been with Ospreys since his professional rugby debut in 2011 and has racked up over 100 appearances for the Welsh regional side.
Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel believes the addition of Ashley will provide cover in the second row which has been hampered by injuries.
“We have picked up a few injuries in the second row department in the opening weeks of the season so have brought in Lloyd for the remainder of this block of matches,” said Peel to the club's official website.
“He is an experienced player, a proven performer at this level and has slotted in well with the group this week.”
Scarlets are positioned eighth in the United Rugby Championship table with a win and a defeat apiece in two games.
