Connacht 28 - 15 Edinburgh

Connacht bagged their first win of the 2016-17 Pro12 season with 28-15 triumph against Edinburgh at the Galway Sportsgrounds on Friday.

Pat Lam's side ran four tries against the Scottish club with wing Niyi Adeolokun (9), lock Quinn Roux (36), replacement wing Cian Kelleher (45) and centre Peter Robb (73) doing the honors.

Fly-half Jack Carty had a forgettable outing with the boot as the managed to convert just one out of four tries, although he managed to score a couple of penalties.

In response, Edinburgh managed to score just a couple of tries. Lock Grant Gilchrist (19) and wing Mike Allen (70) crossed over the try line for the visitors.

Fly-half Jason Tovey was able to convert only Gilchrist's try while his replacement Blair Kinghorn failed to make the final conversion. Tovey also slotted a penalty on the fifth minute.

The win has helped Connacht to climb up four positions and take provisional eighth. Edinburgh after managing to win just one out of their five games, are positioned 10th.
