Queensland Reds are likely to miss the services of Wallabies star Taniela Tupou for the remainder of the season following a calf injury.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury during the recently concluded Super Rugby Pacific game against Chiefs where he was replaced at the start of the second half.
The club released a statement revealing that Tupou underwent scans and is seeking further medical advice which could effectively rule him out for the rest of the ongoing campaign.
Nevertheless, the star prop is expected to return in time for Australia's three-Test home series against England that kicks-off in July.
Following a two-point defeat to Chiefs in the 11th round, Queensland Reds have slipped to the fifth position in the Super Rugby Pacific table with seven victories from 10 games.
