Bulls number eight Hanro Liebenberg sidelined up to eight weeks

Bulls have confirmed that number eight Hanro Liebenberg will miss six to eight weeks of action following a knee ligament injury that he sustained in the opening stage of the Super Rugby clash against Sharks last weekend.

The 22-year-old left the field in the seventh minute of the game but Bulls went on to beat Sharks 10-40 in the Durban encounter.

Scans had revealed that Liebenberg has damaged his knee ligament and will need a surgery that will keep him on the sidelines for close to two months.

Bulls are currently on a two-game winning streak that saw them rise to the second position in South African Conference.
