Bristol pair Marc Jones and Will Cliff to rejoin Sale Sharks

Marc Jones and Will Cliff are set to rejoin Sale Sharks following their respective stints with Bristol.

Both Jones and Cliff have penned two-year deals with the AJ Bell Stadium outfit and will be joining them this summer.

The 29-year-old hooker Jones has made 158 appearances for Sale Sharks while scrum-half Cliff played 100 times before joining Bristol in 2015.

Sale Sharks rugby director Steve Diamond is delighted by the return of both Jones and Cliff.

"It's great news for the club and the supporters that both Marc and Will have decided to return to the club," said Diamond.

"They both know what we are about, the culture of the club and where we want to be."

Meanwhile, the duo is looking forward to their second stint with Sale Sharks.

"I have some great memories of playing at Sale Sharks and living in the north west and am looking forward to playing for the club again," said Jones.

"I have enjoyed my time here at Bristol and would like to thank the club and the fans for their support."

"I grew up watching Sale Sharks and am looking forward to returning to the club who I played for from leaving school," said Cliff.

"Living and playing in Bristol has been enjoyable and the club and the supporters have been great to me and my family."
