The rearranged clash was dominated by the Scottish side, who now move above Ospreys in the table.

4,170 fans turned up to the Scotsdoun Stadium and the majority would have left pleased with what they saw from the home side.

The bonus point was secured by tries in the first half by scrum-half Henry Pyrgos, who touched down twice, and winger Nikola Matuwalu and a second-half score by winger Sean Maitland.

The remainder of Glasgow's points came from the boot of centre Finn Russell, who landed three conversions and a penalty, missing only his attempt to convert Pyrgos' first try in the third minute.

The Italians could only manage an 11th-minute try by Alberto Sqarbi, converted by scrum-half Tobias Botes, who added a penalty soon after.

Within five minutes, the Warriors were 12-0 ahead having settled quickly to score two well-taken tries.

Pyrgos found Maitland infield, who ran almost 30 metres through a number of tackles before putting Pyrgos over for the opening try.

After stealing a Treviso lineout three minutes later, centre Mark Bennett made a long break which the team's top try-scorer Matawalu finished off.

Treviso hit back by scoring a spectacular try of their own, taking advantage of a poor kick by fly-half Ruaridh Jackson.

Next weekend's matches

11th April: Ospreys v Leinster, Ulster v Connacht, Edinburgh v Cardiff Blues

12th April: Benetton Treviso v Newport Gwent Dragons, Munster v Glasgow Warriors, Scarlets v Zebre

Winger Angelo Esposito made good ground before Sgarbi touched down with Botes added the extra two points.

Botes then scored a penalty only for Glasgow to stretch their lead with a third try on 22 minutes.

Maitland broke through tackles once again before a fine pass from Robert Harley put Pyrgos through to score his second try.

Treviso held firm until half-time and had chances to get back into the game but Botes missed two penalties and the sides went in with Glasgow 19-10 ahead.

Seven minutes into the second half, a Russell penalty added three more points for Glasgow and six minutes afterwards, they had their bonus point.

The ball was turned over in midfield, Russell ran through into space and fed Maitland, his try reward for an excellent all-round performance.

Tougher challenges lie ahead for the Warriors, who face Munster and Ulster in their next two matches, but this performance will give them plenty of cheer.

This game was originally scheduled to be held on 20th December but was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
