Bath Rugby have confirmed that Scotland international Cameron Redpath is set to face lengthy period on the sidelines following his latest injury setback.

The 21-year-old sustained the damage to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the Premiership game against Sale Sharks on 14th May and is now set to undergo a surgery which is expected to keep him out of action for between six to nine months.

"The rehab team will work with the 21-year-old after his surgery to allow him to be back to his best as soon as possible," read a statement from the club.

"Everyone at Bath Rugby with Cameron every step of the way and wish him a speedy recovery."

A product of Sale Academy, Redpath made his senior debut for the Sharks in 2017 before switching to rivals Bath in 2020. He also represented England Under 18 and Under 20 teams in the past.

Redpath made his debut for Scotland during the Six Nations game against England earlier in the year but a neck injury that he suffered during the game ruled him out of the remainder of the competition.

Bath are positioned ninth in the Gallagher Premiership table with eight wins from 19 games and will face Harlequins in the 20th round at Twickenham Stoop on 29th May.
