Bath Rugby have confirmed that Ewan Richards has signed a long-term contract with the Gallagher Premiership club.

A product of Bath Academy, the 20-year-old made his club debut last season and has featured for them 15 times. He also had captained Bath Under 18 team in the past.

“Growing up supporting Bath, it has been a dream for me to pull on the Blue, Black and White shirt so to have the opportunity to continue to do that is truly an honour," he told the club's official website.

“Playing for the club means so much to me and my family, and I hope I’ve done them proud.

"I just want to keep learning, play as much as I can and represent Bath to the best of my ability.”

Bath head coach Neal Hatley is thrilled with Richards extending his stay at the club.

“Ewan’s outstanding development has been one of the positives this season, and we are delighted he has agreed a long-term contract.

“He is one of a number of young men who have graduated through the club Academy system and gone on to contribute massively this season.

"He has the ability and potential to play a key role in the team for many years to come.”

Bath are positioned 12th in the Gallagher Premiership table with five wins from 23 games and will face Worcester in the final round of the season on 4th June.
