Australia hooker Jordan Uelese feels New Zealand's dominating record at Eden Park will add to their pressure ahead of the Rugby Championship opener on Saturday.

The All Blacks have a win percentage of over 85 per cent at the venue over the Wallabies and have won previous 21 Tests against them. The last time Australia won at Eden Park against New Zealand was in 1986.

The trend continued in the opening Bledisloe Cup game with New Zealand going on to win 33-18 riding tries from Sevu Reece, Richie Mo'unga, David Havili and Damian McKenzie.

With the Bledisloe Cup on the line, Uelese said the pressure of expectation will be on Ian Foster's men.

“If anything, the pressure’s not on us, the pressure’s on them,” Uelese said.

“No one wants to be the first All Blacks team to lose at Eden Park.”

Meanwhile, Wallabies assistant coach Matt Taylor is hoping that Australia could end their drought at Eden Park and keep the Bledisloe Cup alive before they head to Perth.

“When it was decided that there were going to be two matches at Eden Park, we saw it as an opportunity,” Australia’s defence coach said.

“It’s a tough place to go but we also said that we had to win one Test there to ensure we were in the hunt to win the Bledisloe.

“So the same thing this weekend, we get to go there and have another crack… When you’ve got a team as good as the Blacks, to beat them, you’ve got to take the game away from them.”
