Sale Sharks have announced the signing of Argentina hooker Agustín Creevy ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Creevy had been without a club since London Irish entered into administration and were suspended from the Premiership following financial difficulty. He will now return to the top tier competition after signing a one-year contract with Sale Sharks.
This will also be the third club for Creevy in the Premiership after featuring for Worcester and London Irish while he also had stints with French clubs Biarritz, Clermont and Montpellier apart from featuring for Super Rugby side Jaguares between 2016 and 2020.
He is also the most-capped Test player for Argentina having played 97 times for them. He was also part of their squad in the previous three Rugby World Cups.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for me. I had other options but I knew straight away that Sale was the right club for me," he told the club's official website.
“I want to finish my career at a team at the top and I think Sale is one of the biggest clubs in England and Europe. I really think we can compete for big trophies this year
“The club just missed out on winning the Premiership last year but there is still a lot of ambition to keep improving.
“I know it’s a young squad too, so I hope I can use my experience to help some of the younger players and to help the team to achieve success.”
