France have announced that scrum-half Antonie Dupont will be captaining the Les Bleus during their autumn international campaign.

The decision follows after regular skipper and flanker Charles Ollivon has been sidelined until the start of the next year following a knee injury.

Dupont made his debut for France during the Six Nations game against Italy and has gone on to play 32 Tests in which he scored 10 tries. He also featured in three Tests for France during the 2019 World Cup. He also was awarded the Six Nations Player of the Year in 2020.

The 24-year-old also went on to clinch two Top 14 titles with Toulouse in the 2018/19 and 2020/21 seasons and also had success in the Heineken Champions Cup last season.

France will be locking horns with Argentina, Georgia and New Zealand in their autumn international campaign on 6th, 14th and 20th November respectively.
