Ireland winger Andrew Conway has urged his side to be prepared for a tough challenge against France when the two teams meet each other in Paris on Saturday in the second round of the Six Nations.

Conway played a key role in the opening fixture as he scored two tries helping Ireland to a 29-7 bonus point victory over Wales in the opening round of the competition.

“I think there is so much growth in the team that we didn’t actually play that well (last week). We played quite well, but there’s so much more in us,” he told the Irish Rugby's official website.

“It’s properly exciting to come away with a good win. I know they went down to 14 men for 10 minutes and we took advantage, but we had a properly good win and goodish performance, with so much more to come.

“The detail that we’ve looked at, the detail even we were chatting after in the changing room on how much better we can be is pretty clear for us to see in here.

“There’s a massive, massive challenge obviously this weekend. It’s going to be a different animal altogether. It’s going to be a way tougher match."

France have been in top form as they finished the autumn internationals undefeated that includes a win over New Zealand while they kick-started their Six Nations campaign with a massive 37-10 win over Italy riding on a hat-trick from Gabin Villiere.

"France are a proper, seriously good team. They’ve got threats across the board, a massive pack. They’re very agile as well," added Conway.

“They’re well able to play ball and then the back-line speaks for themselves. I could name all seven of them. There’s probably 14 of them I could name that can do serious damage.

“It’s going to be an unbelievably exciting challenge and it’s going to be a tough match, but it’s something we’re really excited for. It’s going to give us a really good idea of where we’re at.”
