Argentina hooker Agustin Creevy insisted that his team is desperate for a revenge when they take on Australia in the upcoming Rugby Championship game at Twickenham on Saturday.

The last time these two teams met each other was on 25th October during the semi-final of the World Cup at the same venue where Michael Cheika's men won 29-15. In the overall 26 encounters between the two teams, Argentina managed just five wins while Australia won 20 of it with one ending in a draw.

Apart from the revenge factor, a win here will aid Argentina's chances of finishing in the top eight following their autumn internationals which will benefit them with their fixtures in the 2019 World Cup in Japan.

"We want revenge not only for the World Cup, but also for our defeat to Australia two weeks ago in Perth," said Creevy.

"We want to put things right from those two games. It's very important for us to win on Saturday.

"Losing here at Twickenham against Australia at the World Cup really hurt a lot.

"So revenge is definitely in the mind, and we're not afraid of that.

"But the most important thing really is to win the game, to meet our pre-tournament objective of two wins in the Rugby Championship.

"And then also there are the world rankings too, for the World Cup draw.

"We know in November we will have our last chances to improve our rankings for the World Cup.

"If we can get a win this weekend that would hopefully put us in a good position with the rankings."

Saturday's Rugby Championship clash will be the first time in the history of the tournament, the game will be hosted in the northern hemisphere.

Earlier, Pumas flanker Juan Manuel Leguizamon expressed his desire that Argentina host atleast one game every year in the northern hemisphere and Creevy echoed his teammate's sentiment.

"We feel totally comfortable, as if we were on home soil," said Creevy.

"Twickenham is the best stadium in the world, and we want to put on a good show, and we hope the English crowd will enjoy that.

"We accept where we have to play, we enjoy playing here.

"Of course we like to play at home in front of all our crowd, but this time we're playing here and we're very happy to do it.

"Even though they have suffered many changes since the World Cup we still consider Australia one of the strongest teams in the world.

"They know how to play against us, so we respect them and we consider it to be a really hard game."
