Scorecard

Wasps have registered their first win in the ongoing Challenge Cup as they overcame Agen with 32-14 win at Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

The opening 10 minutes of the game saw Loris Tolot and Ashley Johnson exchanging tries while Hugo Verdu and Jacob Umaga kicked the extras for their respective sides.

Umaga provided Wasps a slight advantage heading into the break with back to back penalties in the 22nd and 34th minute to take the scoreline to 13-7.

Dai Young said before the game that he is expecting a complete performance from his side and they did not disappoint this time around as they stepped up gears in the second half with Tommy Taylor (42') dotting down followed by a second from Johnson in the 50th minute making the scoreline 25-7.

Malakai Fekitoa with his 64th minute touchdown secured the much-needed bonus point for the hosts but as the full time was approaching, Wasps lost Matteo Minozzi to sin-bin and Agen ensured they got their second through replacement Fernandez Correa that reduced their losing margin to 18 points.

Wasps will face Edinburgh in the third round at BT Murrayfield Stadium on 6th December while Agen will host Bordeaux Begles.
