As Wales and Ireland set to resume their Six Nations rivalry at Principality Stadium on Friday, we take a look at a few of the key numbers.

* The countries have met on 124 occasions. Wales lead the series 67-50, with seven draws.

* Wales' record win in the series was a 29-0 success in 1907, while Ireland boast a best of 54-10, 15 years ago.

* The last drawn Test match between Wales and Ireland produced a 16-16 scoreline in Dublin last season.

* Ireland have won five of the eight Six Nations encounters against Wales in Cardiff.

* Ireland number eight Jamie Heaslip will make his 100th Test match appearance on Friday - 95 in Ireland colours and five for the British and Irish Lions.

* Rob Howley is the first Wales coach to select an unchanged starting XV and replacements' bench since Graham Henry did it in 1998 for games against South Africa and Argentina.

* Flanker Justin Tipuric will win his 50th cap - the 42nd Wales player to achieve that feat - on Friday.

* Tipuric becomes only the second Wales player after Huw Bennett to win 50 caps when the majority of those appearances have been as a replacement.

* Ireland have not played in a Friday night Test match since the 2007 World Cup.

* Defeat for Wales on Friday would mean them suffering three successive losses in one Six Nations campaign for the first time since 2007.
