Bristol have confirmed the signing of Wales prop Ryan Bevington for the next two seasons.

Bevington will make a switch from Ospreys after an eight-year stint with the Pro12 club having represented them more than 100 times. The 27-year-old made his international debut in 2011 and has played 13 Tests with his last appearance coming in February 2014 against Italy at Millennium Stadium.

The loosehead was also part of Bridgend for five years prior to his association with Ospreys.

Director of rugby at Bristol Andy Robinson is confident that Bevington's experience will prove handy for the Aviva Premiership club.

"We're pleased to welcome Ryan into the squad and looking forward to integrating him into our environment.

"Ryan is in the prime of his career and has played at the highest level, he brings with him the experience and tactical nous required to be successful in the front row.

"Ryan still harbours international ambitions and is hungry to play in the Aviva Premiership. We're confident he will complement what we are trying to achieve here."

Excited to be part of the Aviva Premiership for the first time, Bevington is looking forward to be part of the Ashton Gate based club.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to represent Bristol Rugby and to play in the top flight of English rugby.

"Having spoken to Andy…it's clear that this is an ambitious environment to be involved in and I'm looking forward to being a part of that.

"I've got great memories from nine years with the Ospreys and I'd like to thank the supporters, staff and my team-mates for making my time there so enjoyable."
