Ulster centre Will Addison has been ruled out of the remainder of the ongoing season following a back injury.
The 26-year-old made a switch from Sale Sharks to Ulster ahead of the 2018/19 season but has not featured for the Irish club since January when he suffered the blow.
A statement released by Ulster revealed that Addison has undergone a surgery to address the injury and is expected to return for the pre-season camp.
Addison has played three Tests for Ireland with all of it coming during the November series last year.
Ulster are currently at the second place in Conference B but could drop out of the three play-off places if they lose to Edinburgh at BT Murrayfield Stadium and Benetton Treviso manage to defeat Munster at Stadio Monigo.
