Harlequins have announced that dynamic full-back Tyrone Green has signed a contract extension, solidifying his future with the club.

Known for his versatility and electric performances, Green will remain a key player for the team at The Stoop for the foreseeable future.

Green, 26, is in his fifth season with Harlequins and has already made 78 appearances, scoring 25 tries. Since joining the club in 2020 from the Johannesburg Lions, the South African has become a fan favorite, celebrated for his flair and game-changing abilities.

His debut season with Harlequins in 2020/21 was nothing short of historic, as the team clinched the Gallagher Premiership title with a thrilling 40-38 victory over Exeter Chiefs at Twickenham.

One of Green’s standout moments came in the 2023/24 season when he leaped to collect Marcus Smith’s pinpoint cross-field kick, scoring a sensational try against Newcastle Falcons.

The effort earned him the Gallagher Premiership Try of the Season award, further cementing his status as one of the league’s most exciting players.

Reflecting on his decision to extend his contract, Green expressed his contentment with life at Harlequins. “It’s good to put pen to paper. I’m happy here, so it was an easy decision. The boys are great, and my family is settled – it feels like a second home,” he said.

He also highlighted the unwavering support of Harlequins fans. “Harlequins supporters are die-hard fans, and running out in front of them is always an amazing feeling.

"The stadium is always packed, and they create such a noise. It gives you such a buzz and a boost as a player when you’re about to start the match.”
