Three players from the Fiji squad have tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the upcoming Autumn Nations Cup.

The Pacific Nations side will be joined by Georgia along with the Six Nations teams for the end of the year internationals that kicks-off on 13th November.

According to Fiji Rugby chief executive John O'Connor all the squad members were tested for Covid-19 on their arrival in the training camp in Limoges in France and the positive tested players are currently isolated from the rest of the squad members.

"We are grateful that we travelled and started our preparation camp early so we could go through these protocols and follow required strict compliance requirements to ensure the entire team is cleared and we prepare well before our first match," said O'Connor.

A statement from Fiji Rugby read that the players are being monitored on a daily basis and a second round of testing will be conducted this week. Fiji were scheduled to face Portugal in a warm-up game on Friday but this has now been called off according to reports.

They will kick-start their Autumn Nations Cup campaign with a clash against France on 15th November.
