Theo Dan has signed a new deal with Saracens, extending his stay with the club where he has developed from academy prospect into an established senior player.

The England hooker’s renewal is another important piece of long-term planning for Saracens as they retain one of their rising homegrown forwards.

Theo Dan Signs New Saracens Contract

Dan joined the Saracens junior academy at the age of 16 and has progressed through the pathway to become a regular first-team option.

He made his senior debut in November 2021 in a PREM Rugby Cup win over Harlequins before later stepping into PREM action against Gloucester.

England Hooker Rewarded After Rapid Progress

Dan’s breakthrough came during the 2022-23 season when he returned from a loan spell at Ampthill to play a major role in Saracens’ PREM-winning campaign.

He made more PREM starts at hooker than any other Saracens player that season and scored five tries, the most by any forward at the club. His domestic form quickly translated to the international stage, where he was selected for England’s 2023 Rugby World Cup squad and has since become a regular part of the national setup.

Saracens Keep Homegrown Forward Core Strong

Director of Rugby Mark McCall praised both his talent and work ethic, while the player said he was pleased to continue his journey in North London.

"Theo is widely respected throughout the club and is rapidly establishing himself as a central figure within the squad.

"His natural talent has been strengthened by his impressive dedication and work ethic, allowing him to develop all aspects of his game. At just 25, he has a hugely promising future ahead, and we are thrilled that his journey will continue with Saracens."
