South Africa make 13 changes for Namibia encounter

South Africa head coach Rassie Erasmus has made 13 changes to the starting line-up for the second round of the World Cup clash against Namibia to be played in Aichi on Saturday.

Makazole Mapimpi and Lukhanyo Am are the only players to have retained their place from their 23-13 defeat against New Zealand in the opening round.

Frans Steyn, Francois Louw and Tendai Mtawarira will face Namibia for the second time after last playing them during the 2011 World Cup.

Warrick Gelant is at fullback while Mapimpi will form a new wing partnership with Sbu Nkosi with Sbu Nkosi joining Am in centre partnership. Elton Jantjies has been named at fly-half and Herschel Jantjies gains promotion to start at scrum-half.

The front-row comrpise of Tendai Mtawarira, Bongi Mbonambi and Vincent Koch with RG Snyman and Lood de Jager in second row. With Siya Kolisi providing impact from the bench Schalk Brits will lead the Springboks for the second time as he is slotted at number eight.

Thomas du Toit, who joined the squad on Tuesday after replacing injured Trevor Nyakane is also among the replacement list.
