Keith Earls, Dan Leavy and Jack Conan all scored double for Ireland as they completed a 22-50 convincing win over Japan at Shizuoka Stadium on Saturday.

Earls (11'), Leavy (24' and 28'), Conan (30') were the try scorers for Ireland in the first half with Paddy Jackson converting all four tries and also added a penalty to take Ireland to 31 points at half time.

Japan, who suffered a setback in the 24th minute through a sin-bin to Heiichiro Ito, managed just three points in the first 40 minutes that came from the boot of Yu Tamura.

Conan, extended Ireland's lead to 35 points with a try at the start of the second half. Even though, Japan managed a try each from Ryuji Noguchi, Kenki Fukuoka and Yutaka Nagare, efforts from Earls and Garry Ringrose ensured the visitors completed a comfortable 28 win in the game.

The two teams will now lock horns with each other on 24th June at Toyota Stadium for the second and final game.
