Scotland international Sean Maitland is set to become the latest player to make an exit from Saracens according to a report.

Glasgow Warriors' unofficial fan site reported that the 31-year-old is likely to return to Scotland next season with one of Glasgow Warriors or Edinburgh set to sign him for the new season.

The decision follows after Saracens will face relegation at the end of the ongoing season and will feature in the Championship following a series of salary cap breaches.

Maitland has already featured for Glasgow between 2012 and 2015 but started his professional rugby with Canterbury and Crusaders prior to that. He moved to London Irish in 2015 before heading to Saracens ahead of the 2016/17 season. He has played 50 Premiership game for Saracens and had scored 19 tries in it.

The 6ft 2in wing has also played 48 times at international level for Scotland since his debut in 2013 and was part of the 2015 and 2019 World Cup campaign of the Dark Blues.
