England will miss the services of captain Sarah Hunter for the TikTok Women's Six Nations decider against France following a rib injury.

The 36-year-old sustained the blow during England's recently concluded fourth round clash against Ireland where she was replaced in the 47th minute but despite her absence the red rose team recorded a massive 69-0 win.

Poppy Cleall, who led the side against Italy when Hunter was selected on the bench, could fill the void on Saturday if she recovers from a calf problem.

Ellie Kildunne feels the experience of Hunter will always be missed but expressed confidence on the squad to step up in her absence.

"Not only does she bring really good rugby skills but she is also a really good leader," Kildunne told in a news conference.

"But we will still be prepared, nonetheless, and I don't think it will impact us too much because we have people who can fill in.

"We have had Zoe doing some of the captaincy roles and Poppy [Cleall] as well, so it's not going to change the way we train or play and it's more of a reason to come home with the Grand Slam."

Both England and France are yet to lose a game in the Championship with both the teams having four victories apiece with the decider scheduled on 30th April at Stade Jean Dauger.
