Saracens have confirmed the signing of Samoa international Hisa Sasagi on a short-term deal.

The decision follows after the Gallagher Premiership club are without several forwards due to international duty.

Sasagi made his professional rugby debut with provincial side Otago taking part in the ITM Cup and joined the training camp of Hurricanes in 2016.

The 31-year-old has played four Tests for Samoa since his debut in 2016 with his last appearance for the national side coming during the autumn internationals against England at Twickenham last year.

Saracens are yet to lose a game in the ongoing season across all the competitions and are positioned second in the Gallagher Premiership after winning all the six games.
