Bristol Bears have confirmed that Argentina international Pedro Rubiolo has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
Rubiolo, 23, has already established himself as a regular at both club and international level. Since joining Bristol in 2024 from Newcastle Red Bulls, the powerful second row has made an immediate impact with his physical presence, work rate and consistency in the engine room.
At international level, Rubiolo has earned 32 caps for Argentina and has been part of Pumas sides that recorded landmark victories over both New Zealand and South Africa.
Director of Rugby Pat Lam said Bristol were keen to secure Rubiolo’s long-term future, describing him as one of the outstanding second rows in the global game.
“We’re absolutely delighted that Pedro has chosen to commit his long-term future to the Bears. At just 22 years old, he is already one of the outstanding second rows in the global game.
“Since arriving in Bristol, his impact has been exceptional, and he has quickly earned the respect of his teammates and everyone across the club."
Rubiolo said he has enjoyed his time at Bristol since day one and feels fully supported by the club.
“I am really enjoying my time at Bristol Bears. From the first day, the club has made me feel very welcome and I love the way we work, train and play together.
“I’m very excited to commit my long-term future here. I believe in what the club is building and I want to keep improving, growing as a player and helping the team achieve special things.”
