Pau's Steffon Armitage sidelined up to nine months with Achilles injury

Pau has confirmed that former England international Steffon Armitage will be sidelined for up to nine months following a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The 32-year-old sustained the injury during the European Rugby Challenge Cup semi-final against Cardiff Blues last weekend which saw Pau lose 16-10.

Pau are currently positioned seventh in the ongoing season of Top 14 with 14 wins from 24 games and are scheduled to face Montpellier next on 28th April.
